LipSense Accurate Color Chart…Umm
Posted in About Carol Clifton on Jul 16th, 2008
Are you confused when you think you have decided that Praline Rose LipSense is perfect for you until you start looking around the internet at other LipSense color charts and realize that the Praline Rose LipSense does not remotely look the same as the original one that you saw?
Finding an accurate LipSense color chart is a request that I receive from prospective new customers multiple times a week. When I am contacted by a new customer by phone or email I will immediately respond by saying that… I feel your pain! LipSense semi permanent lipc
olor and the internet are absolutely fabulous however color does not necessarily photograph on the internet to the exact shade. You wanting the perfect shade of LipSense to arrive in your mailbox is not to much to ask and I am here to serve you. Please! Please! Please! Do not hesitate to call or email me for the exact description of the LipSense colors you are considering.
Do not forget that when you 1st purchase LipSense that you will want to choose the starter set which includes a Lip Sense color of your choice as well as the gloss of your choice and the Oops remover. All three products are necessary elements to your success with LipSense.
Don’t forget with LipSense you wear 3 layers which means that just 3 colors offer you 27 different lipstick combinations. That makes it pretty simple to arrive at your perfect color.
The best Lipsense color I have found for me is the Dusty Rose. Does Dusty Rose fit into your formula for making teeth appear whiter? What other color would complement Dusty Rose and (if I’m lucky) have the blue tint that would help the whitness factor? My skin is olive tone.
My daughter has a pale complection with strawberry blonde hair.
Thanks,
Paula
Hi! Paula,
Well….Not exactly. Dusty Rose lipsense is a brown based color and would be very simple to add a blue tint to make your teeth appear whiter. It always makes to happy to say that you have options…
1. If you absolutely love the Dusty Rose then I would just use Sheerberry Lipsense as your 3rd layer. It is the blue based counter part to Dusty Rose.
2. You could just top off your Dusty Rose Lipsense with our highlighter Pink Champagne which will only slightly tone down your Dusty Rose. Understated but nice
3. My current favorites are 3rd layer Pink Ice or Rose Ice and have been adding Roseberry as my 1st & 2nd layer with Dusty Rose on top.
I hope that all the above doesn’t confuse you too much.
What color of lipsticks is your daughter currently wearing? The reason I asked is because my daughter only wears very light shades.
Let me know!
Carol
Hi Carol,
How does Praline Rose compare to Praline Pave. I have the praline pave but tend to like colors without shimmer and the praline pave has the shimmer to it.
Hi! Dee Dee,
Praline Pave Diamond LipSense is Praline Rose LipSense with Diamond Dust instead of a slight glimmer that is in the original Praline Rose.
You would probably prefer the Praline Rose because the “glimmer” to it is very understated and many women do not even realize it’s existence in the shade.
Hello,
I also have been using Praline Pave. I want a very natural look. This color gives that to me with 2 coats. When I put on the 3rd layer it looks a little “dressed-up” to me. Is there another color that I can use 3 layers and not look too made up? I had rather not mix colors if possible. Also which gloss looks the most natural? Thank you,
Teresa
Hi! Theresa,
I am concerned about steering you in a direction that will not necessarily compliment your coloring.
Cappuccino Lipsense is a favorite of many woman although I have seen very few that I feel are putting their Best face forward with the extreme nothingness of this color. It is however a very popular shade for those thirty somethings.
Baguette Beige Diamond LipSense would probably be a viable option provided you do not turn the color a bit too peach. I love this shade as a layering piece for many other lipsense lipcolors.
Glossy Gloss is your best bet because it will look a bit glossy at first but will offer maximum moisture for your lips while absorbing fast and not appearing noticeable.
Carol,
PLUM works very well for me. If I want softer color I top with PIT STOP PINK.
Now I am looking for something with a purple cast, not too dark. Suggestions?
I am a classic “summer”, almost red head with pinkish complexion.
Victoria,
Are you aware that Pit Stop Pink has been discontinued?
Sad to say that there is nothing in the SeneGence line that is close although I have plenty of customers that use Mauve Ice or Sugar Plum to lighten/soften Plum.
Mauve Ice is lighter purple Mauve with a hint of shimmer much the same as Pit Stop Pink.
Sugar Plum is quite a bit lighter than Mauve Ice and has a more pronounced silver undertone sparkle.
Have you ever tried Sheer Berry LipSense? It is a purple based Mauve with a rich deep hue.
I am someone that likes alot of options but in the end you would probably enjoy Mauve Ice.
Carol,
This will be my first time to use the lipsense, I have been looking for a longlasting lipcolor that will not rub off.
I wanted to find out about the color Rose Ice…..
On the color chart it looks purple but when I went to other websites that actually had a picture of the product it looked like a frosted pink which is what I like.
Could you please let me know the color shade..
Thank You
Tracy
Hi! Tracy,
So sorry that my response was a bit delayed
I just sent your order out yesterday and noticed that you did not order the Rose Ice LipSense.
It is a GORGEOUS! and not purple at all except for the fact that it is a medium toned Frosted Pink that is cooler toned.
The Summer Love Lipsense that you ordered is more sheerer, lighter Coral rather than a pure pink.
If you like a very sheer, pinky look then you would probably enjoy wearing two layers of Summer Love with One layer of Rose Ice on top followed by Pearl Gloss.
Hope that clears up any confusion!!
So sorry for the tardy reply! and really have no Idea how I overlooked you inquiry.
Have you tried Blush LipSense? or Praline Rose? If you enjoy a nothingness (maybe barest)color then you will like Cappucino LipSense.
I believe that the best option for you would be the following combination:
2 layers of Cappuccino
1 layer of Pink Shimmer LipSense
and top it off with Pearl Gloss
PRETTY!
hi carol,
just found your site over google. i was searching for a good color chart for the lipsense classic colors. I found some but not the color i am looking for. its for my mother-in-law, she needs a nude color with a slight pinkish underton. i was thinking of praline rose or blush? her lips are big and she wears not often lipstick but she wants one that is looking natural and match her skintone. if you want i can send you a photo from her.. i dont know what i have to buy.. that is so difficult
Jasmine,
Blush LipSense is a cooler toned pinky beige brown and Praline Rose is a bit warmer toned light brown with a slight touch of pink.
Both lipcolors would be very natural.
Please do send a photo as that makes my job very simple.
Terri! Please accept my sincerest apology for this ridiculous tardy response.
and a very simple answer…Pink Champagne Lipsense is perfect.
