Yesterday was an amazing day of reflection in my SeneGence journey and eWomenNetwork. Sandra Yancey, Founder & CEO of eWomenNetwork was going to be the keynote speaker. Sandra exudes ALL THAT IS GOOD and is one of the most inspirational speakers you will ever have the pleasure to hear deliver a message. The “Secret” is the way she lived prior to the onset of it’s fame and existance.

The Mission Statement of EwomenNetwork is WOMEN HELPING WOMEN. Giving is always first. No passing business cards for the heck of it. Generally, I would pass my card with a referral (on the back of my card) for another womens business. Do you understand the concept of WOMEN EMPOWERING WOMEN? Are you aware of the “GOOD OLE BOYS NETWORK”? Why don’t women have the same? I believe that all women should look to direct there buying power to other women. It is a fact that we control most of the purchasing power…Let’s consentrate on spending it with other Women. I have learned that it is best to GIVE, GIVE, GIVE and it will reward you 10 fold. Joyce and I had a LipSense expo table yesterday at our local EwomenNetwork event(did I forget to say that Joyce came my way via Maryann). Many of the women that have inspired me to new heights came over to chat (and buy LipSense). One Hundred and Fifty women attended this event yesterday. Too many names to mention.

Congratulations to my dear friend, Tessa Greenspan for winning the TOP WOMEN’S GROCERS award for the entire United States by the WGA. She never fails to connect me with another women at any event. My friend, Gail Palubiak was at the Event. What a friend she has become! She is my girlfriend that LipSense brought my way thanks to Reba Green. Gail will be at my 70th Birthday Party. (inside joke) Thanks for the memories! LipSense Sunburst Orange maybe? Yes, I think we could be on to something. Wine this afternoon? My house at 4:00? Reba needs product and I think she must have gotten lost yesterday. Reba too? Hope St.Peters went well! Ipod alarm clocks are great graduation gifts.

Our climates vary in all parts of the United States, Canada & Australia where we market SeneGence Products. In Missouri, I deal with gross Humidity in the Summers. Other areas of the country that have this same type of climate are Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi, Illinois, Kansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas. My recommendation would be to alternate using Oily Cleanser once a week for this type of climate. Just a cute Story! I went out with “My Girls” last night. As ALWAYS, WE ALL HAVE STORIES even it we talked on the phone just 3 hours before we are do to meet.
We have been friends in some cases since our early 20′s. Interesting enough, Two of the girls in the picture, I met in Iowa when Max Factor transferred me to DesMoines. I begged and bribed my friends to move back to St. Louis with me when I took a job with Sterling Drug (Dorthy Gray, Olgilvie, Givenchy).
Now, CP from Marshall Town, Iowa lives behind me with her husband & children.

CP , in the Green Jacket told us that the entire time her Grand-Daughter was in town last week she would make the mistake of running through all of her childrens names before calling Olivia the correct name. Finally, one morning CP was introducing Olivia to someone and did it AGAIN. Olivia who is 8 years old looked at CP with her hands on her hips and said “What do you call your friends? Lipstick & Mascara?

She finishes the story. We are all roaring with laugher because we all identify with the problem. Then I say “YOU MEAN SHE DOESN’T KNOW ABOUT LIPSENSE? Whats up with that? At that point we all decided to take this one step further and rename ourselves. After ONE BIG ARGUMENT (all in FUN of course)! I am LipSense, Mona is Glossy , Kasha is Oops (longer story but she is indeed Oops), Jackie is MakeSense or Foundation, Kathy is BrowSense (can’t live without brows), Nancy is LashSense and good ole CP can be whatever name she can remember. Love u HONEY!

Make sure you start off with a clean dry lid unless you are using one of our shadows (candlelight or malt are perfect for this purpose) or Make Sense Foundations to create a more even base. I prefer to place a very small amount of shadow on my hand to start. Use a brush or sponge applicator to pick up a very small amount. DO NOT USE THE WAND ITSELF TO APPLY TO YOUR EYE! Apply on your lid in a sweeping motion and blend to the color you want to achieve. Ebony Essence is a GREAT eyeliner. I apply it with a eyeliner brush although many of my customers use our Lip liner applicators to achieve a perfect lined eye.
